Tim Fuller Pockets $3,000 with NDRL Northeast Win at Port
PA (June 21, 2014)
Tim Fuller of
Watertown, NY., scored a rich payday at Port Royal
Speedway on Saturday night, besting a stellar 35-car NDRL
Late Model field with a powerful move by Mason Zeigler for
the lead and victory, worth $3,000.
Fuller started fifth in the 30-lap NDRL
Northeast late model field as Mason Zeigler started on the
pole. Zeigler, a 21-year old gasser from Chalk Hill who
set a new one-lap track record for late models earlier in
the night, took control when the race got underway over
fourth starter Jared Miley of South Park.
|The only caution flag of
the race unfurled with five laps in the book and the
restart saw NDRL Northeast point leader Keith Barbara of
South Park race into second but fail to challenge Zeigler
for the lead.
Fuller began coming to
life near the halfway point of the race, using the high
groove to complete his advances, taking over third from
Miley on the 14th tour.
He got by Barbara with 14 laps to go and set his sights on
leader Zeigler who was blasting around the bottom of the
Zeigler then moved up
to the top groove as Fuller pulled up on this back bumper
but by that time Fuller was into his rhythm and there was
only one more spot for him to conquer.Fuller
pulled the trigger on Zeigler with a low dive in the third
corner before pulling a slide job to complete the pass
after catching the cushion in the fourth turn with 11 laps
Covert Claims NDRL Northeast Victory at Bedford Speedway
Bedford, PA (June 20, 2014)
Jason Covert waited over half the race but rallied late to
score the NDRL race at Bedford Friday night. For Covert,
who usually rises to the occasion in Bedford’s bigger
races, it was his first 2014 win at the track. Pole sitter
Keith Barbara got the jump on the field in the NDRL event
and easily led the opening laps. Covert was up to second
when the first caution flew on lap 3 for Jeff Rine. The
yellow flew again on the restart as Jared Miley was
involved in a back stretch fracas and Rine made yet
another pit visit.
On that restart,
Barbara seemingly had the field covered, running away from
Covert and Dylan Yoder to a wide margin lead. But as the
laps ticked off Covert began to close. After a Rance
Garlock yellow on lap 18, Covert was all over Barbara for
the lead. On lap 22, Covert made a serious challenge but
overshot the runway in turn one and lost a lot of ground.
But Covert stayed with the program and three
laps late was back all over Barbara. As the pair
completed lap 26, Covert made a bold move and grabbed the
lead. From that point on, Covert got faster and faster
and ran off from the field. Barbara meanwhile fell back
into the clutches of Tim Fuller, who finally took over
second on lap 31.

Jared Miley Dominates NDRL Northeast
Event at Little Valley!
Little Valley, NY (May 25, 2014)
Jared Miley from South Park, PA, made a very impressive
debut at Little Valley Speedway, overwhelming a class
field of Super Late Models in the 30 lap NDRL Northeast
Late Model Series Feature in front of a large crowd on a
beautiful spring night at the Cattaraugus County
Fairgrounds. Miley, a regular at Lernerville Speedway and
follower of the NDRL NE Tour, started on the outside pole
courtesy of the redraw, and having quickly learned the
nuances of the long straightaways and tight turns on the
half mile during hot laps and the heat, blew into the lead
past Dick Barton and never looked back.

Mike Knight, who always runs well at Little Valley, gave
chase early after starting fourth and seemed to have
something for Miley, but two trips over the cushion in
turn two thwarted his effort. The race then became a
battle for second, which saw Knight, Barton, Max Blair and
later, fast timer Keith Barbara go at it for a number of
laps, with Blair finally wresting the position from the
others on lap 13. While this was going on, Miley was
checking out, opening a half lap lead on the field, which
boasted fifteen drivers who had feature wins to their
credit over the years.
At the line, it was Miley by a huge margin, with Blair
second, followed by Barbara, Greg Oakes, who started
ninth, and Barton to complete the top five. Only one minor
caution occurred, that for a spin on lap five.
Justin Kann Claims First NDRL Northeast Victory
at McKean County
East Smethport, PA (May 24, 2014) One
hundred and thirty eight race cars packed the pits at the NDRL McKean
County Raceway on Saturday night as the NDRL NorthEast Late Model
Series made their first visit to MCR. Justin Kann of Hesston, PA took

Twenty six NDRL North East Late Models were on hand for their 30 lap
main event. NDRL National touring driver, Tim Fuller of
Watertown, NY and Justin Kann of Hesston paced to Curtis Peters green
Kann shot into the lead from the outside pole over Fuller
with Mike Knight in tow. With five laps in Kann was still
leading the way over Fuller Knight, Max and Rob Blair. Knight
would make his move for second on lap six. The first yellow
would come out on lap ten for Garrett Krummert and Denny Fenton.
On the restart Rob Blair would get past his son Max for fourth as Kann
would pull two car lengths on Knight. A rash of yellows would
come out for laps 24 through 26. The third yellow saw the
leaders dice it out for positions with a chain reaction incident that
ended the night for both Rob Blair and Dick Barton. On the
restart Kann pulled away again from Knight and Fuller to capture his
first ever NDRL NE win on his first ever visit at MCR. Knight
was second followed by Fuller, his teammate Max Blair and David Scott
rounded out the top five.

Gregg Satterlee Captures NDRL NE ‘Chiller Thriller’
at Mercer Raceway Park!
Mercer, PA (April 6, 2014)
Gregg Satterlee of Indiana, PA took the lead on lap 26 of
the 30 lap ‘Chiller Thriller’ at Mercer Raceway Park after
a daring move to the outside of then leader Tim Fuller to
win the inaugural NDRL Northeast Late Model Series event.
Fuller and Russell King brought the field to the green
flag with King gaining the early advantage followed by
Fuller. Dan Stone and Satterlee had an intense battle for
the third spot as Fuller stalked the race leader King.
Todd Battin Photo
By lap six, Fuller drove to the outside of turns one and
two to pull alongside of race leader King and used his
momentum to blast by King in turns three and four to take
over the race lead. Stone, who was running fourth, came to
a stop on the backstretch on lap 14 to bring out the
events first caution.
During the Delaware
style restart, Fuller continued to lead while Satterlee
took advantage of his outside starting position to make
his way around King for second and begin his assault on
the leader. After a second caution slowed the pace, Fuller
continued to lead as he moved to the outside to hold off
the hard charging Satterlee.

agreement with Hoosier Racing Tire to be the exclusive
